The single room I occupied offered a private bathroom, which made for an uninterrupted and personal experience. The charm of the room came alive with its rustic decor and comfortable arrangement, making it a pleasant spot to wind down after a day of travel.
Transport access is a bit of a drag unless you've got wheels of your own. being isolated can lead to some awkward planning if you don’t. I had a hassle getting in late and had to deal with a locked door that turned a simple arrival into after-midnight calls. Then there was a run-in with a billing snafu, but it got sorted out quickly. it’s not a bad spot, but it could use a smidgen of attention on access and communication.

It was just a well-suited match for a brief retreat in Rise with great value for the money. I had major transport issues, but the staff were very accommodating and arranged for me to check in late, which was a relief. Just be aware that late arrivals might need to call for access.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the high-quality breakfast and the delightful garden view from my room. The cozy lounge area and the lovely patio were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The only minor hiccup was that the stairs to the bedrooms were a bit steep, but it didn't spoil my great time at all! 😊

we had a very comfy stay at the railway inn! the room was really nice with a garden view and they even had cute biscuits and bottled water for us. dinner on weds was great, super busy so better book ahead. breakfast was worth the £10, loads of good options and the omelette was realy filling. overall, we just had a lovely time!
i wish the stairs were a bit less creaky and the bathroom could use some updating. also, the balcony could use a fresh lick of paint.

Couples looking for a good meal experience
The food was outstanding, I mean they had this veg jalfrezi packed with every vegetable, seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it, couldn’t even finish it all. And then there’s the service, those two young ladies were just so on it, like they knew exactly what we needed even before we did.
Now, it wasn't exactly inexpensive, but I reckon it was still fair for what we got.

Great stay in a comfy room!
We had a nice 3-night stay in a super comfy double room with a huge balcony. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The food was just out of this world! Just a bit annoying that we had to wait too long for service at times, but everything else was awesome, especially the bar area.

Had a lovely steak that was cooked to pretty much perfection! The vibe in the pub was lively, and the locals, real genuine folks.
Wasn’t exactly a bargain, let’s be honest.
